No running for me today. Again.

Oh dear, this blog is starting to get repetitive, isnt it? My foot is shot again today after last night's run :( *bangs head against keyboard* this time, the pain is right underneath my heel and along the side under the ankle bone - feels like a stone bruise, only worse... limping again quite spectacularly. I think it's a sprain.

I think it may be time to go and see someone about it :(

Bugger.

Sorry to hear about your ankle Hannah. Go and get it looked at and stay off it (that includes running!) for the time being. Your plans aren't going to be effected by a few extra days rest. J

I agree with Jen - take it easy, you won't lose much by having a few more days off. Injuries are so @#$%&* frustrating. :-(

I know what you mean about tutorial times etc, too bad. :(

Foot - reading through your last month it seems to be a regular thing since the half. It could be a good thing to have it looked at, but I've noticed a pattern. You did a track session = hard. Then you did a long run with other people = hard. Last time it happened you did a 12k with a 5k the day after and another 5k the day after.

I like to surround my long runs with rest days, so my body can take it fresh, and then recover the day after. If I notice a big problem (say with the hip) I took 3 days off, by day 2 it was better, but I gave myself extra time. This might not suit you but I'd have a look at putting more rest days in or going for easy runs, like 30 minutes exploring without measuring distance.

Always an experiment, hope it gets better soon.
